Ebook Hype Test: Click Bank Profit Secrets

Ok folks, for our very first product review, I decided to go with something I purchased recently in order to learn ab0ut a very lucrative online business called clickbank. For those of you familiar with or interested in learning about clickbank, you may have stumbled across this ebook. The title of the book is Clickbank Profit Secrets and is published by a Andrew Kirlew.

Right off the bat let me tell you that Andrew's ebook was different when compared to other ebooks out there about making money using clickbank in that it did not really make absurb statements about how much you can make after reading the book. It discloses that the process to making money on clickbank will take effort and is actually the only sales page for a clickbank book that left out the token snapshot of a cheque for a zillion dollars directly from a clickbank account. The modest approach of this sales page was a nice change of pace and eventually swayed me into thinking that the info would be legit vs hype. I was wrong.....

First impression - not a jam packed ebook as it only contains 33 pages of information, not always a bad thing as we know quality is always better than quantity. Second, the sales page is very clear on its target market - ATTN: CLICKBANK AFFILIATE MARKETERS. Yet when you start the ebook the very first chapter is about selling a digital product, in other words becoming a seller looking for affiliate marketers. Hmmm, not what I signed up for but ok lets read on maybe it will get better. And it does, sort of. After about a fifth of the book being devoted to information on selling your own digital product and a bunch of redirect links to go purchase more (a common theme sadly), we get to chapter 2 which is about selling digital products as an affiliate. *Side note: the book starts off with a prelude entailing how you can sign-up with clickbank and has step by step dumbed down instructions including screenshots even! Very nice for the internet newbie who is looking to get started. So the entire book must be this simple right? No chance. Clickbank is a site where there are literally thousands of products that you can choose to market, there are stats at the bottom of every product link sharing such things as commision for sale, % ref'd (percentage of sales coming from refferals), % sale (percentage of sales made by company without affiliates), and gravity (I have no clue how to explain this one!). Other than clicking on the product and looking at the sales page (by the way every single sales page looks the exactttt same!), reading these stats are the only way you can take an educated guess as to which product you want to sell. Clickbank Profit Secrets does not spend one sentence explaining these stats. Maybe they're not important to success, but hey at least let us know! Such a big part of Clickbank is completely overlooked in that regard. For picking a product the only real tip is to do a lot of research (great I was just going to play pin the tail on the ebook, thanks for the tips bud) and to pick something your an expert on (i'm an engineer - does that mean if theres no super ebook on bridge building for dummies then I should pass on this?). The book then talks about how your Clickbank affiliate link can be reversed engineered and how this is a big problem and then offers one paragraph for a solution. Now i'm not the most tech savvy guy out there, but I had no clue on how to implement any of these strategies as the description and examples were super vague in the paragraph.

The vagueness then continues with ways to drive traffic to your site, basically just stating the different ways you can achieve this with no explanation to implement. Sorta like claiming i'm a doctor by naming all the different body parts (haha that was weak sorry - it's morning).

Most of the time when you are left begging for some details on a specific topic in the book they magically appear....in the form of an affiliate link about a great book that you should go check out! By the end of the book if I went to every link suggested I would have to buy another 20 ebooks to learn how to sell on clickbank effectively.

Do not get me wrong, there is a lot of great content in this book, just very vague and not explained enough in my opinion. Yes there are a lot of things you need to know to be successful with clickbank and a lot of different strategies you can implement - far too much to fit into one ebook and explain maybe, but if that is the case why not focus on a few and expand on how to implement? Although this book covers a lot of ground and mentions a lot of great techniques, you have to buy a whole new ebook to implement that technique. Also, the book left me confused as to the target market when it seemed to be clear on the sales page as it ends similar to how it started - directed towards selling your own ebook or product and how to harness the power of affiliate marketing.

The book concludes with some action steps including creating personal goals which is something I definitely vibe with and was pleased to see included, however, the overall product that I was hoping for was not delivered. I was not really taught exactly how to make money using clickbank, but instead was given suggestions with no true direction.

I dont want to completely knock this sytem down however. Firstly, the price is super cheap compared to other options out there - $9. For that price you get the Clickbank Pofit Secrets Ebook we just reviewed plus some great bonus products. The main bonuses are Internet Marketing from the trenches (50 pages), Google Adwords made Easy (essential part of Clickbank marketing, 85 pages) and Writing an Ebook (46 pages). These are actually some very good books and well worth the total $9 value that you pay. My only wish is that we could've integrated all this great information into one ebook (minus the writing an ebook). But I guess then the vagueness factor would have been multiplied by a dozen since these ebooks are very in depth.

So the overall recommendation is a no for me if your looking for a step by step guide specifically speaking to becoming a successful clickbank affiliate - is a no go. However, I have a secondary recomendation, the bonus information and ebooks are definitely worth the price tag and if you would like to expand your knowledge in internet marketing overall, then pick this product. What We're About

With all the buzz floating around the internet about the latest gadget, get rich scheme, health wonder product or life changing info products out there its hard for the average internet consumer to know what's what and decide if a purchase is actually worthwhile. How do you see through the hype and understand which products are legit? That's where the Hype Testers would like to help out.

Being fellow internet consumers we love the expansive virtual marketplace the internet has created. We have had the experience of purchasing some great products out there, but at the same time we have also been burned by fancy advertising and surreal claims that are by made by other products. Because of this hit or miss market it can be hard to trust what one product claims without doing some extensive research on the product. However, when doing the research and finding information, ratings, or testimonials you then have to research the research to see if it is coming from a true third party or an affiliation of the product/producer themselves. With this worldwide virtual marketplace comes the downside of very little regulation and as a consumer it is very difficult to know who to trust and what to buy.

The Hype Testers hope to shed some light on some of these problems facing the internet shopper. Our goal is to test some of the products that are gaining the most hype in the market place and then let you the consumer know about our findings during these testings. Its really just about spreading awareness. Our market will be mainly information products aka Ebooks. We will dip into the actual physical product here and there, but for the most part our focus will be the information industry. Our hope is to have a database of products that work (at least they did for us) versus the products that didn't work (again only for us) and let the curious consumer know if it is worth their time and money.

We look forward to sharing our internet experiences with those in need of a real unbiased testimonial.

Cheers!

The Hype Testers,
